Carbon sequestration is one of the most effective tools to protect the environment. But traditional carbon capture methods are expensive and energy-intensive.
The world emits 36.8 billion tonnes of CO₂ per year (IEA, 2022).
Current global carbon capture capacity is only 0.1% of annual emissions.


AN ELEGANT SOLUTION
Hard-rock sequestration is far less costly and complex than carbon capture onsite at power plants.
The cost of traditional carbon capture ranges from $50–$120 per tonne, which limits widespread adoption.
Some direct air capture (DAC) systems require 500x more energy than mineral-based sequestration.
